TAP

Our Tap classes begin from the age of 4 with our Primary Modern & Tap class, where students are introduced to rhythm, timing, coordination, and musicality in a fun and supportive environment. From Primary level, students follow the ISTD Tap syllabus, progressing through the grades up to Intermediate level.

As students advance, Tap classes become separate from Modern, allowing dancers to focus on technical skills specific to tap, including footwork precision, rhythm patterns, syncopation, phrasing, and musical interpretation. Classes also explore light and shade, dynamics, and expression, helping students bring artistry and character to every performance.

Students regularly have the opportunity to take ISTD examinations, supporting structured progression and personal achievement.

We present a full school performance every other year, giving students the exciting experience of performing on stage. Tap dance promotes rhythm, coordination, musicality, confidence, and expressive performance, while also developing discipline, stamina, and a love of movement.
